Service Programs

The club is actively involved in a number of service programs, including:

  • Discovery on the Fly encouraging positive decisions of troubled youth through fly fishing experiences.

  • Reel Escape for Women - helping women with cancer through fly fishing.

  • Reel Kids an escape for kids with cancer and their families.

  • Reel Recovery helping men with cancer through fly fishing.

  • Reel Vets giving back to our veterans through fly fishing.

  • Youth Work Days teaching youth about conservation and habitat maintenance through hands-on work.

  • Youth Mentoring helping youth learn the skills needed to achieve fly fishing and related merit badges and awards in their scouting, venturing, exploring, and similar activities. We also provide group youth education services.

If you like to get involved in any of these programs, please contact our service programs coordinator, Jim Norton, at programs@hsfc.us.

You may help fund our programs by making a contribution at our online store.

Note: Though High Sierra Fly Casters operates on a not-for-profit basis, the club is not a charity for tax purposes.
